WHAT IS SOLAR FENCING? HOW DOES IT WORK? WHAT ARE ALL THE ADVANTAGES, AND WHERE CAN WE USE SOLAR FENCING?
The solar fencing system works by preventing any animals from coming in contact with the solar fence by giving a short, sharp but safe shock. Once the animal in the herd receives a shock, the others avoid contact with the solar fence.
When an animal touches the Solar fence, it closes an electric circuit by grounding. Then an impulse travels through the body of the animal cause sudden muscle spasms and lasts for 2-3 milliseconds. This vibration is painful but very safe. Having experienced the shock, the animal will never try to negotiate the solar fence again.
Working principle of solar fencing system The functioning of a solar fencing system starts when the solar module produces direct current (DC) from sunlight which is used to charge the system’s battery. Depends on sunlight hours and capacity, the system’s battery can generally last for as long as 24 hours a day. The output of the charged battery reaches the controller or charger or energizer. When powered, the energizer gives a brief yet sharp voltage.
